B Btry 6-11 Arty LZSJ reports 2 locations between bunkers # 16 and # 17 had been tunneled out under the perimeter wire ...large enough for 1 person to crawl under: 5 trip wires cut with fresh tracks.

Delta Company's 3rd platoon at grid BS674380 found a NVA base camp consisting of 30 bunkers 4'x8' and 30 fighting positions 3'x6'x4'...many mackerel cans...5 well used trails leading into camp:camp would accommodate approximately 30 persons and appears to have been used 3 weeks ago.

Point element of Charlie Company at grid BS710365 spotted 2 NVA/VC approximately 200 meter in distance moving in SE direction, one dressed in black pj' 0ne in rain gear...Engaged with S/A and M-79, searched area and found blood trail that lead to hut w/bunker..lost trail. Hut size 4'x6' surrounding area farmed, 1 person had unknown type weapon.

From Bde the individual's of Charlie Company wounded by a booby trap were not wearing flak jackets, they were wearing steel pots and were 15 meters apart when booby trap was detonated by pressure....it was buried and the crater was 12"in diameter and 4' deep.

Interrogation revealed that 5-7 VC are in the area armed with 3 M-16's and 2 Ak-47's at BS571424...CIDG found 1 hut 12'x12' and 2 small huts 5'x8'...1 pig and a eight year old girl.
